For my entire life I have been drawn toward helping others – whether it is simply lifting a box or lifting a spirit to see a smile. 2022 brought many transitions and shifts in focus for me. A little less than a year ago, I experienced an unexpected change in my world, which caused me to consider my next steps in life. I am an optimist at heart – a glass half-full type person, so when life hands me lemons I will most certainly make a pitcher of lemonade to enjoy and ponder the opportunities possible.
A friend reached out to me several times in the past to suggest becoming a yoga instructor. I have always considered this a possibility, and even as a small child would “teach” my friends gymnastics or encourage them to try some fun fitness activities. With this already in the back of my mind, serendipitously my friend reached out again last fall to share that a yoga teacher training was about to begin AGAIN! My pathway lit up with excitement at this coincidental opportunity…so I followed with determination and joy, attending a locally certified program in central Pennsylvania. Spring ahead to May 2023 – I became officially certified to teach empowering vinyasa flow yoga in the Baptiste style. What an adventure and what an EMPOWERING experience for all who completed the training!
So what’s next? My thoughts and dreams are still churning…
As a health coach and now also a yoga instructor, the answer(s) are somewhat obvious, but the planning is crucially important to make this dream a reality that benefits those who seek to join me in my journey! There is the business planning process and then there is time management overall to find balance and harmony while making this dream come true.
